Super Jigger Bay Gal - 2011 AQHA Mare - SOLD
Sold To Montana
“Ace” 2011 AQHA bay mare Stands confirmed at 15h She’s trailed cattle, been ridden in the mountains, had a pack saddle on, crosses water and logs. She fine with ropes and virtually anything. Nothing really scares this horse or makes her nervous. You can walk right up to her in the pasture and catch her, most times she runs up to you first. Fine for farrier, just got a new set of shoes, it’s been a while but a calm gentle farrier did it in a timely manner. She’s been sitting for a few years and saddled up with no funny business and walked right off. She was ridden in a bosal or hackamore for most of the time she was worked with. Has carried a snaffle and understands it, but doesn’t love it. Ace is NOT a BEGINNER friendly horse. As docile as she is on the ground, she needs a very firm hand and someone that knows what they are doing. She is lightly barn/buddy sour and has an attitude that was never properly dealt with. Head tossing & tail swishing, nothing more. She’s definitely not the worst, she just knows where her friends are and where home is but there is nothing more than some shoulder drop, she isn’t going to run with the bit or take off. She has never bucked, bolted, or reared. With a solid 30 days of consistent riding and work I believe she would be fine. She knows all the ques and what your asking, its just depends on if she agrees or not. She is a horse that Needs a job, whether that’s climbing a mountain trail/packing out carcasses or moving cows. Has a lot more go than woah. Knows how to neck rein and moves off leg, with very sensitive sides. Have some videos at request & working on more. That being said - She is a maiden mare, but she would be a great broodmare as well. She would be just as happy to not be rode if you’re looking for a baby maker! Clean straight legs no blemishes. Sound. Transfer ready in hand Shepherd, MT
